Colombia Projects
We developed three different projects in Colombia dedicated to dismantling and scrapping in different areas, thus expanding our activity in this area.
Alpetrocol Dismantling
Alpetrocol is a company located in Bogotá, dedicated to the provision of oil and environmental services. In its activity, it is dedicated to the management of solid and liquid waste emanated by the oil and metalworking industries. In 2017, part of the Alpetrocol plant became obsolete, leading to its dismantling.
Main functions and tasks of Movilex:
MOVILEX played its role in this project by collecting surpluses from dismantling and oil pipelines. This operation was closed in a contract with FOB conditions (Incoterms 2010), which attributed to Alpetrocol the job of placing the merchandise in the Buenaventura Port, with MOVILEX covering the maritime freight expenses to Bangladesh, the place where the merchandise was sold.
Cartagena of Indias Plant
Establishment in Cartagena de Indias dedicated to ferrous and non-ferrous metal waste.
Main functions and tasks of Movilex:
At MOVILEX we have a team of 6 contracted people and up to 10 subcontracted people who carry out the prospecting, collection, collection, treatment and sale of ferrous and non-ferrous metal waste. The material is transformed in the facilities authorized by the administration in Cartagena de Indias and exported internationally through the Port of Cartagena. The transformed material is sent to different parts of the world, mainly Asia, India and Vietnam.
Shipbreaking
From the permanent establishment in Cartagena de Indias, shipbreaking projects are carried out throughout the area of influence.
Main functions and tasks of Movilex:
MOVILEX has its own and subcontracted personnel who carry out the recovery of ferrous and non-ferrous metals present in the ships, as well as the management and treatment of the rest of the waste present in them. Since the beginning of the activity, it has carried out the scrapping of the following ships: INNOVATOR, DRAGA CATUMBO, CASANOVA, OCEAN TRADER, MV YAVIRE, MV PARMACAY, ATLANTIC, ANDREA B and various bongos. The transformed material is sent to different parts of the world; Mainly Asia and India.
